any final words?

Today is quite possibly our last appointment ever with our therapist, due to financial reasons.  Unless she is willing to waive the co-pay, we can't afford to see her (or anyone) anymore. 

She is the only person who knows about our DID, and knows us - all of us.  Who we can all talk to, and not pretend with.  Who we can be real with.   Losing her would be.... catastrophic. 

System-wide panic, right now.  Panic I have no way of soothing.  This isn't like a flashback or triggering day on the calender - this is real.  This is NOW.  I feel powerless, and I hate it.

Ugh, I'm really sorry. :( Therapy is really important, particularly for people with serious trauma histories, and it really sucks that finances have got in the way. I hope you're able to work something out with her. :(

Thank you for the well-wishes! Today at our appointment, she said she doesn't care how long we rack up a bill without paying it - that we can pay her in a few years, when we're done with college and get a job. Words cannot describe how relieved we are!!!!
