Muddy Thuddy
Jun. 2nd, 2012 01:08 amI'm thinking of doing some system mapping, to try and sort things out Inside. Also, seems like it might help my shrink? idk... I'm just sick of all this mud in my head.
We've never successfully completed a system map, so this should be interesting...

Date: 2012-06-03 10:27 pm (UTC)also, we looked your name up cuz we were curious (Pardic doesn't really answer the question, ya know?) Jeska is a biblical name, and is considered the basis for Shakespeare's created name "Jessica." it's spelled jescha in the medieval Wycliffe Bible (but pronounced like jeska), so your name is an english phonetic spelling. very cool!
you guys all seem to have unique, cool names. a lot of us don't even have what would be considered real human names :/ we've tried assigning ourselves names, like picking them ourself, but it doesn't stick and just feels weird. we're born with our names, and they're us for life.

Date: 2012-06-03 11:44 pm (UTC)As for median. Someone who considers themselves to have two or more aspects to themselves but isn't completely separate, or someone whose system is most often blendy. When I'm fronting, there's half me and half Phage at any given moment. The balance of me vs. Phage can shift, but I'm always there somehow. We're almost plural, but not quite. That only applies to Phage and I, not to anyone else here, though.
As for names, a lot of people know them when they come to front. Some don't remember. Some have to pick names. And there're people here without human-sounding names too. And we like y'all's names. They may not be "human-sounding" in all cases, but they're your names, and nobody can take them from you. Believe me, where I'm from originally that's an important thing. VERY important.
I think there's nothing bad about any of y'all's names. They're more unique than ours.
Also, my dear brother messed up our age. We're twenty-six, not twenty-five. But we usually either wind up accidentally saying we're a year off one way or the other. Meh.
There're also a few of us whose names actually mean pretty ordinary things if you translate them into English. For example, Hitori.

Date: 2012-06-04 11:54 am (UTC)Thanks! I'm glad you like our names, and that some of you guys have non-human ones too. That makes us feel better :)
Our body is 25, but a lot of people here can never remember that, or else forget when people ask how old we are that they're referring to the body, and just give their own ages. It's pretty awkward, especially when someone proudly states that they're 7 and three quarters :/ Shy littles will say age in fingers, like holding up 4 fingers when asked how old they are, instead of saying "four." That's a little easier to play off... Also, when our birthday is depends on who you ask, so about half our friends think our birthday is January 28th, and the other half know it's November 11th (our actual birth date). Plus side? We get two birthday parties a year :D
Okay, time to go take a shower and get going with the day... *sigh* Staying in this bed sounds soooo much better!!! Bleh. Oh well. Talk to you later!
